Mother's day is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May in India to give love, respect, and honor to the mothers. The modern holiday of this day was first celebrated in 1908 in united states when Anna Jarvis remembering her mother by giving her tribute at St Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia. In India, it is not celebrated as a religious event. It is not a public holiday, it falls on Sunday. Everyone is celebrating this day in their own way some give their mother's gifts, cards, flower, etc. Or some spend their whole day with their mother and hang out with her. This day is an opportunity to show our mothers how much we love and respect her. The main aim of this occasion is to popularize, develop and secure the essence of motherhood.
